Rumour has it that Cullen Gardens is closing this January! When I heard about this, I convinced James to visit the miniature village with me one last time (James’ first time taking the tour, though).

Much to our amazement and delight, the VIA trip back to Ottawa was a speedy one! Luckily, James and I didn’t have a hedgehog along to interfere with our scheduled stop.
The first week back feels like it’s been a busy one. Yesterday we managed to be VERY lazy and ended up watching many episodes of Battlestar Galactica (which I’m surprised to find that I enjoy, although James may now have watched a few episodes too many).
OK, here goes. Since it’s such a rainy day I thought I would post a sunny picture from a BBQ I went to this summer (I hope you don’t mind, Sarah!).
Sarah was visiting me in Ottawa and we managed to fit a lot into just a few days. We didn’t manage to buy a baby shower gift for Leah that weekend, though, which had been our main quest.
Well, my pre-New Year’s resolution this year is to use my blog more… well, to use it at all, I guess.
Hopefully I will manage to post some photos here from my upcoming trip (so I think I should practice before I take off in February!).
James and I are in the Niagara area at the moment, and we will be heading off to Toronto tonight and then on to Ottawa on Saturday (in time for New Year’s Eve, if VIA Rail treats us well). It’s such a rainy day! Very strange weather for this time of year. Where are my rain boots when I need them? Oh, right, I don’t have any.
