Month of prep

Well, we’re really in the heart of it now. January is the big month for our French class. Instead of doing regular lessons, we spend half the day doing practice tests and the other half of the day going over spoken components for the interviews. It’s really hard to keep going. I don’t mind the practice tests, but they are those standard multiple choice ones and it really isn’t always clear what the answer should be. For the oral part, we each have a spiel we do to explain what we do at work, discuss key issues, etc. I end up practicing this with one of our teachers, we tape it, then I listen to it and identify mistakes, try to correct them myself, and then go over this with the teacher the next time. And I spend many of my nights doing this as well. Hopefully it is worth it in the long run! Grammar and comprehension tests scheduled for January; oral interview sometime in February.
