2006 – Part 2: South Africa
I arrived in Cape Town on a wet Monday morning. After spending about a week in the Cape Town area, my family and I travelled east and made our way up the other side of the country. We wrapped up our vacation by spending time in Kruger National Park before flying out of Johannesburg.
No Tim Horton's in sight, but plenty of places to stop and rest.
The Royal Hotel, centre of social activity at Pilgrim's Rest (past and present day).
Aloe plants.
The rondavels proved to be great accommodation.
Packing up to leave.
Our rest camp – Pretoriuskop.
Yellow field.
There could be things in front of us – hard to tell with the dense grass.
Winding down the safari.
Butterfly on my bag.
